An immediate opportunity has arisen for a full time Junior PHP Developer to join our technical team. We are a consulting group building digital marketing strategies for selected international companies. We have a team of experienced designers and marketing strategists.

The main role of a Junior PHP Developer is to monitor, improve and update the performance of existing CMS platforms as well as to provide functional specifications for development of new CMS platforms, deal with external programmers and get involved in debugging and testing processes. In order to achieve that you will require the following skills:
1. A good understanding of requirements for creating new web sites from the ground up.
2. Proven documentation skills for developing functional specifications
3. High attention to detail and are familiar with debugging and testing processes.
4. Practical technical experience in updating and upgrading CMS platforms
5. Good practical knowledge of PHP, HTML and Javascript
6. Good knowledge of Drupal, WordPress
7. Good knowledge on how HTML email functions
8. Basic knowledge of SEO
Operational Tasks
Day to day, your tasks will be varied but your primary role will involve
1. Responsibility for keeping CMS platforms running
2. Maintenance of content and upgrades to the CMS platforms
3. Documenting functional specification for programming
4. Project managing programmers and providing them help and feedback
5. Performing debugging and testing to make sure new pages are functioning
Essential Skills
1. Excellent communication both verbal and written
2. Outstanding problem solving/troubleshooting
3. You’re passionate about writing clean extensible code.
