Job Description

This is a remote, home-based position. You will work from home and help us develop advanced web applications such as these – http://www.scopicsoftware.com/tag/php. Backend work will be in PHP with a framework such as Yii. Frontend work will either be in Flex or Jquery/HTML5. We use web-based project management, source code control and bug tracking software to help manage the remote software development process. Hours are flexible. Work is interesting and challenging. There may also be work in the areas of image processing and/or computer vision if your skills and/or interest extend into this area.

Job Requirement

1) Good English reading and writing skills.
2) Strong PHP programming skills.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and skills

• Experience in web application development using Silverlight and/or ASP.NET
• Extensive experience with high level analysis of customer requirements and translating these into professional specifications and software design
• As a person you are self-driven, taking initiatives and have a structured way of thinking. You focus on quality and take pride in observing agreements and deadlines. You are an inspiring team player who can work in an independent and dedicated manner when required
• University degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science
